Kenya women’s Volleyball team’s good performance in 2019 African Games. The Kenya women’s volleyball team will bravely have time to relax before the turning up for the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Women’s world cup 2019 preparations.

The Kenya women’s volleyball team, which arrives in Nairobi on Monday, will only take two days off according to KVF president Waithaka Kioni. ” We are probably give them two days to rest and shake off the jetlag. The team must resume training immediately because we have a strong competitions lined up the world cup.” said Kioni.

Kenya will start the tournament with opening match against United States on 14 September in Hamamatsu. Japan will host Cameroon, Russia, South Korea and Dominican Republic in Yokohama. And United States, Kenya, Argentina, Netherlands, Serbia and Brazil will play in Hamamatsu.

The final stage in the FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Cup 2019 will have all the teams staying in Osaka from September 27 to 29, 2019.

Kioni added that,” Kenya will be playing against the best in the world and while our game is starting to grow, we stand little chance against the China, Brazil and the United States. They will get a chance to expose themselves to the best. I don’t anticipate a podium for Kenya.”

” Our main target is the Olympics. We want to win the Africa qualifiers in January and return to the Olympics. That is the target we have set for new coach Paul Bitok.”
